📌 Morpeth, Northumberland
★★

A museum about bagpipes? You could be forgiven for thinking you’re in Scotland – but this interesting old building can in fact be found in the Northumbrian town of Morpeth. This is the UK’s oldest bagpipe museum, and some of the displays are showing their age a little. Nevertheless, a wide array of instruments are on display; the Northumbrian Pipes are front and centre, but there are representations from all across the UK and beyond.
