πŸ“Œ Village on the Isle of Arran
β˜…β˜…

For tourists, Brodick is the de facto capital for the Isle of Arran; it’s the arrival point for ferries from the Ayrshire mainland, and has the lion’s share of shops and supermarkets, hotels and restaurants – The Parlour crafts some of the most exquisite pizzas we’ve ever tasted. The village is set around a picturesque bay overlooked by rocky Goatfell, with a sandy beach extending north which will delight families in warm weather; the crazy golf course is another popular outdoor attraction. This is also an excellent walker’s base, with routes of various lengths beginning here or at Cladach, nearby to the north. Brodick Castle and the Arran Folk Museum offer excellent indoor options if the weather deteriorates. If Brodick has a downside, it has to be its layout; the coast road is convenient for parking, but lacks a focal point. The built-up part stretches for about a mile, but some of the attractions above are considerably further away, although linked by a good path network.
