๐Ÿ“Œ Whitebridge, Highland
โ˜…โ˜…

This barely-known yet very easily accessible waterfall lies on the Allt Breineag just outside the village of Whitebridge. An old loop of General Wade’s Military Road, now forming part of the South Loch Ness Trail, runs conveniently close to the river bank, and it’s simple enough to wander down to the bank just below the fall (brushing past a branch or two). Informal parking is just a few minute’s walk away – what could be more convenient?

๐Ÿ’ฌ From the layby it’s a 5-min walk to the waterfall. Follow the South Loch Ness trail south for about 200m. Views of the waterfall are then possible by descending the bank (traces of a path) to the left – probably using the sound of falling water to guide you. If you reach a road bridge over the river, you’ve gone too far.
