📌 Cromdale Hills, Highland
★★★

Sgòr Gaoithe marks the southwest end of the heathery Cromdale Hills: a line of hills separating Strath Avon from the River Spey. Reaching the summit cairns involves fewer than 300 metres of ascent on a decent track starting from the Old Military Road between Grantown-on-Spey and Tomintoul; there are wide-ranging views over Strathspey and the Cairngorms from the climb up.
