πŸ“Œ Aros, Isle of Mull
β˜…β˜…β˜…

A visit to Tobermory can be stretched into a full day trip by walking along the forested coastline from Aros Park. The park was once a private estate and includes attractive woodland, a lily-clad loch and a couple of impressive waterfalls on the Aros Burn (though this route only passes the lower falls). Later on, after a couple more piddly cascades, gaps in the trees allow excellent views of Tobermory; Ben Hiant on the Ardnamurchan peninsula is also prominent across the Sound of Mull. Landslides have shut the middle part of the original coast path which traverses steep slopes, but Forestry and Land Scotland have created a permanent diversion at a higher level through less interesting scrubland.
