πŸ“Œ Lochmaddy, North Uist
β˜…

Located at the centre of Lochmaddy on North Uist, Taigh Chearsabhagh is one of a select handful of Scottish museums which takes longer to work out how to pronounce than it does to look around. The resident exhibition on our visit was about Western Isles geology – fascinating though rather technical – but displays change from season to season. The museum is a small part of a much bigger arts centre which forms something of a cultural hub for the Uists, hosting music, literary and art events year-round. It’s certainly a bustling place, especially immediately following the arrival of a ferry at Lochmaddy harbour.
