๐Ÿ“Œ Gateshead, Tyne & Wear
โ˜…โ˜…

St Mary’s Church is one of the few old remaining buildings overlooking Gateshead‘s Quayside, and until 1825 served as the only Anglican parish church for the whole town. Dating to the 12th century, it no longer has a religious function, but now fulfils a role as the town’s heritage centre. Learn about the town’s evolution from Roman times to the present day within beautiful surroundings, before walking back outside to be greeted by the incongruous sight of the bulbous Glasshouse events venue, formerly known as The Sage.
