πŸ“Œ Nessie attraction in Drumnadrochit, Highland
β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

The Loch Ness Centre is Drumnadrochit’s best Nessie-related attraction – aside from Loch Ness itself of course. The attraction takes the form of a self-guided exhibition through several themed cinema rooms, covering topics spanning the gulf between legend and hard fact with respect to searching for this famous monster, as well as 500 million years of history. (For an extra fee, “Deepscan” boat cruises with sonar equipment are also available on the loch itself.) The attraction underwent a major refurbishment in 2023 (along with the obligatory price hike), and the new, improved version seems a bit more family-friendly with less emphasis on serious science and history, and a greater focus on people and their individual stories. We enjoyed it – certainly worth keeping in mind for a rainy day.
