๐Ÿ“Œ Inverness, Highland
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

If it’s raining in the Highland capital, Inverness Museum should be your first port of call. This usefully large attraction showcases city and rural life, geology, Highland culture and artwork across three floors. Tucked away on a side street, it’s often overlooked by tourists, but things should soon be changing: the adjacent Inverness Castle is currently undergoing a multi million-pound (and multi-year) transformation into a tourism hub, which (we understand) will incorporate a significant chunk of the current museum collection. This promises to be an exciting project; the museum is already large enough to spend a couple of hours in, and will surely be even better once the building works are complete.
