πŸ“Œ Headland & arch near Montrose, Angus
β˜…β˜…

This is a coastal attraction, but there’s no need to pack your swimming gear as trunks are provided! The minor headland at Boddin Point features the remains of an 18th century limekiln and (probably) abandoned harbour. It’s a scenic spot if you’re exploring Montrose region, though not worth travelling a long distance to see. As for Elephant Rock: this natural arch a short walk along the cliffs from Boddin Point needs no further explanation – the likeness is remarkable. Alternatively, both landmarks can be reached by a pleasant coast walk from Ferryden on the edge of Montrose – allow a couple of hours (each way) for this.
