Of the four different museums in Kirriemuir, the small, free Gateway to the Glens Museum is the best place to start. The exhibits are housed within the 1604 former Town House (former jail and courthouse) and cover both Kirriemuir and the five Angus Glens located to the north – a good mix of history and nature spread across two floors.
