📝 Aberdeen – 1 day itinerary
Mode of travel: 🚶 Foot (+ optional bus)
Intro: Welcome to the Granite City capital of the North East! Famous for its oil and energy industry, Scotland’s third largest settlement might not sound like a promising tourist destination – but strike it off the list at your peril. This itinerary focuses on the historic and cultural attractions in the city centre before heading for the coast.
📝 Edinburgh – 1 day itinerary
Mode of travel: 🚶 Foot
Intro: If you only have a single day in the city then you’ll want to use your time wisely. Our itinerary introduces some of the capital’s key highlights, mainly focusing on the historic Old Town and Royal Mile, and will surely sow the seeds for a longer return visit.
📝 Glasgow West End – 1 day itinerary
Mode of travel: 🚶 Foot
Intro: Unsurprisingly for a sizeable city, Glasgow’s key visitor locations spread widely. For a one-day snippet, I reckon that you should spend your time in the West End instead of the true city centre. This rather fashionable neighbourhood boasts several leafy parks, the historic University of Glasgow and some of Scotland’s very best museums.
📝 Loch Ness – 1 day itinerary
Mode of travel: 🚗 Self drive
Intro: The dimensions of Loch Ness make a circuit of the banks an ideal day’s driving tour from Inverness, starting with the popular hubs of Drumnadrochit (for Urquhart Castle) on the west bank and Fort Augustus at the head of the loch. With a famous castle ruin, museum, waterfall, miniature hill walk and plenty of photo stops, this itinerary provides a good mix of history and scenery.
