This route begins at one of the busier spots on Loch Ness, but its destination is much more tranquil. This gentle circuit of Torr Wood offers a long shingle beach, beautiful loch views, the chance to spot red squirrels and a peek at an old Highland castle – all packaged up into a couple of hours.

🥾 On our last visit

Wildlife: A red squirrel in Toor Wood. Blackbirds, treecreepers, grey & pied wagtails, tits, goldcrest. Tiny fish & mallard ducks in / on the loch.
