There aren’t too many vistas which take the breath away like Score Horan does. Descending from Cnoc Breac, you break through a final line of trees to be greeted with magnificent cliffs plunging 100 metres to a raised beach, beyond which the Ascrib Islands and Trotternish break the mirrored surface of Loch Snizort. Unfortunately the rest of the route, across featureless moorland, fails to measure up to the climax. In particular, the middle section is navigated by a sodden path which is barely worthy of the name in places; we hope your boots are waterproof!
