📌 Pentland Hills, Midlothian
★★★

Cap Law and Green Law are sometimes visited as stepping stones en route to the higher summits at the heart of the Pentland Hills, but feature less frequently as objectives in their own right. This pleasant horseshoe route around the Monks Burn keeps to these lower, grassy tops – often quiet – with a grand Midlothian panorama to be enjoyed on the ascent and descent. Green Law offers some of the very best views of the whole hill range by virtue of being set apart from the main Pentlands ridge, while Spittal Hill is a fine vantage point for North Esk Reservoir to the west. First class views without the crowds – sounds ideal? We think so too!
