The gently undulating area of Scots Pine forest to the east of Kincardine provides a perfect habitat for red squirrels, while also concealing four pretty lochs of differing sizes where various wildfowl can be spotted. A network of tracks links the water bodies, but this circuit diverts onto narrower paths at times to add variety.

Wildlife: Red squirrel, lizards, butterflies. Swans, Canada & greylag geese, grey herons, mallard ducks, coots, little grebe. Little fish in the lochs.

Weather: Very sunny. Temperature in high teens with a light, cool easterly breeze.
