πŸ“Œ Ardfern, Argyll & Bute
β˜…β˜…β˜…

This short, there-and-back walk heads out to Craignish Point, at the end of the peninsula extending southwest from Ardfern. The entire route has good views of the sounds on either side of the headland, with excellent opportunities for spotting marine life (seals, porpoises, otters…) on a calm day. Jura and Scarba adorn the western horizon; the strait in between the two islands is the location of the notorious Corryvreckan Whirlpool.

Wildlife: A solitary seal, seagulls, a few other seabirds. Probably a black throated diver, but too far away to be certain.
