Humbie Church Wood is an attractive area of mixed woodland broken up by a series of steep-sided burns – watch out for stray sheep on the access road. Three routes waymarked in green, blue and red have been set out betwixt the trees, with the longest (and roughest) red route described here. There’s an attractive waterfall early in the circuit which is best seen after heavy rain – though the wetter the weather, the harder it will be to jump across the same burn where the path crosses it just upstream!
