πŸ“Œ Burntisland, Fife
β˜…β˜…β˜…

The steep southern edge of The Binn connects the northern suburbs of Burntisland with Kinghorn village, with superb views across the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh and East Lothian from the top. Traversing the escarpment from west to east makes the perfect half day walk between the two settlements, also passing Kinghorn Loch with its rich birdlife and cafe. There are three options for the return to the start. The Fife Coastal Path follows a busy road (which doesn’t sound appealing to us), or you can walk on the sandy beach at low tide only; we reckon hopping on the train is generally a better bet – after exploring the beautiful beach below Kinghorn railway station first.
