Benniguinea is the masted summit on the southeast side of The Queen’s Way as it passes Clatteringshaws Loch. With a good track to the top, this is one of the few easy hill walks in Galloway Forest Park – and depending on your mobile network provider, the one with the best signal! Views lower down are often restricted by forestry plantations, but the final section is above the treeline allowing excellent views north across the loch. Branch left just before the mast to visit the true summit, with a wide southern vista opening up just beyond.
