📌 The Trossachs, Stirling
★★★★

This is our second featured route up Ben Venue – a 729-metre summit in the beautiful Trossachs region of central Scotland. Although rougher than the usual route from Loch Achray, this ascent from Loch Ard is usually fairly quiet, climbing within an attractive, partially wooded glen before contouring the head of Coire Dhàidh. The final section merges with the “main” path, sharing the same superb summit views of Loch Katrine, Loch Achray and Loch Venachar. Note that the true summit is the west one, even though the east top has the triangulation pillar.
