πŸ“Œ Headland in Kyle of Lochalsh, Highland
β˜…β˜…β˜…

Part woodland, part meadow and surrounded by rocky coastline, The Plock is Kyle of Lochalsh’s hidden gem. This peninsula is found at the mainland end of the Skye Bridge and came under community ownership in 2019; its diverse habitats are a haven for wildlife and plant life, with excellent views from the flagpole-topped summit towards Kyleakin, Ben Aslak and Applecross. Maps at the entrance points are a bit vague, but we found a rough clockwise circuit was a good way to explore the area, keeping as close to the coast as possible.
