πŸ“Œ Viewpoint near Bathgate, West Lothian

Some summits are easier to reach than others… and The Knock is one of the easiest of all. Under three miles from the M8 motorway, and barely 100 metres from the car park, the panorama from the view indicator is surprisingly wide reaching with grandstand views of the Firth of Forth, Pentland Hills, nearby Cairnpapple Hill and even as far as the Central Highlands on a clear day. The path to the summit is so short that we’re not classifying this as a walking route and you don’t need to come prepared for one – though grippy footwear might be useful for the rocky terrain.
