A dead-end road northwest of Tongue village leads along the west side of the Kyle of Tongue towards the Talmine area – a gentle region of scattered settlements, low hills and wonderful coastal views. And beaches – the biggest of which is the unspoilt arc of Talmine Bay, facing east towards the uninhabited Rabbit Islands (well, still inhabited by rabbits, obviously).
