📌 Museum in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders

🛠️ Site currently closed – see official website for latest updates (checked April 2024)

Innerleithen‘s heyday came in Victorian times when the village grew an enviable reputation as a health spa, with visitors coming from far and wide to “take the waters”. A pavilion overlooking the village provided a retreat for health tourists, with its own spring. The building has now been converted into a small museum about all of the above, with a small garden at the back. Unlike many old well springs where drinking the water is now discouraged, visitors are still free to sample the water emerging here.
