📌 Museum in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders

Innerleithen‘s heyday came in Victorian times when the village grew an enviable reputation as a health spa, with visitors coming from far and wide to “take the waters”. A pavilion overlooking the village provided a retreat for health tourists, with its own spring. The building has now been converted into a small museum about all of the above, which nowadays seems to be open only for short exhibitions during summer. There’s also a small garden at the back which can be visited at any time, and the spring of course, where (unlike many old well springs where samping the water is now discouraged) visitors are still free to have a drink.
