๐Ÿ“Œ Greenock, Inverclyde
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Museum in Greenock opened in 2012, showcasing a varied collection of fire trucks and related appliances dating from throughout the 1900s, notable events from the history of the Strathclyde fire service, and remembering firefighters killed tackling some of the region’s worst fires. The museum occupies the town’s old fire station and is of a decent size, smartly presented and free to visit – so why is it little known? That’s probably thanks to the very limited opening hours. Two Sunday afternoons a month doesn’t make it easy to visit, but if you live nearby you should definitely set aside a date to go and look around.
