Sandy foreshore is somewhat scarce around the Black Isle, so this small bay at Rosemarkie is all the more welcome. The part closest to the village centre is a regular beach, but it becomes rockier the further north you go, with a few rock pools. Eventually a headland is rounded, after which it’s possible to be cut off at high tide.
