๐Ÿ“Œ Kinloch Laggan, Highland
โ˜…โ˜…

Pattack Falls is one of the smallest waterfalls we feature on SOBT, dropping perhaps barely over a metre as the River Pattack exits a short gorge near Kinloch Laggan. Water in the river flows west and eventually enters the sea at Loch Linnhe by Fort William, while a mile further east, the River Mashie is a tributary of the east-flowing River Spey. Given the proximity to the north-south watershed, its perhaps surprising that there’s a river of any significant size at all. The setting amongst pine forest is an attractive one, and the falls are a good place to take a quick break from the scenic A86 connecting the Cairngorms and West Highlands. Note – this waterfall is separate from the Falls of Pattack, which are a few miles further upstream, and the Linn of Pattack, just beyond. Confused yet? So are we.
