๐Ÿ“Œ Old Town, City of Edinburgh
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Few of central Edinburgh’s museums can really be described as quiet nowadays, but the Museum on the Mound is certainly one of the more peaceful options. This smallish but interesting museum has an unusual theme – the history of money and the Bank of Scotland – and is fittingly location inside the former head office of the Bank of Scotland itself. Inside, you can marvel at a million pounds, view the country’s oldest banknote, crack open a safe (with chocolate inside on our visit) and even mint your own coin. Surprisingly good fun considering the potentially dry subject matter.
