This worthwhile, friendly museum gives an introduction to the attractive town of Moffat, covering the settlement’s origins as a staging post and its growth as a spa destination and wool market. The history of the wider area is also featured, including a Merlin exhibition, Roman artefacts, the Devil’s Beef Tub and a replica of the “Rotten Bottom” longbow discovered in Carrifran Glen.
