πŸ“Œ Fogwatt, Moray
β˜…β˜…

This small country park provides good walking close to the county town of Elgin. Found on the boundary between lowland northern Moray and the hillier southern part of the region, the park centres on an elongated, manmade loch surrounded by steeply sloping forest, ensuring shelter even on windy days. Winding paths circumnavigate the banks, with a footbridge where the loch narrows in the middle allowing a possible shortcut. Visit in late spring for flowering rhododendrons, or at any time of year for waterfowl and possible red squirrels.
