Migvie Church is located in such a quiet spot that you’re vanishingly unlikely to encounter it by accident – yet the stunning interior is likely to come as a surprise even to the well-informed. Open the door of the unassuming building and the lights inside should automatically click on, revealing a beautifully restored chapel with numerous pieces of local art and furniture. An indented Saltire adorns one wall with stained glass windows on two others, while Bible passages and Pictish symbols decorate the central stone chairs – a true hidden gem. The Pictish Migvie stone can be found in the churchyard.
