Lanark Loch

Lanark Loch lies within Lanark Moor Country Park, just outside the attractive market town of Lanark. With an excellent restaurant (the Inn on the Loch, with an extensive menu), a large adventure playground, seasonal boat hire and omnipresent hungry swans, all the ingredients for an enjoyable day out are present, including for families. A full circuit of the loch is about a mile in total, on excellent tarmac paths. A good option in all seasons, though in winter “ice may be slippery”, as a faded sign warns rather obviously.
