πŸ“Œ Kilmartin, Argyll & Bute
β˜…β˜…

Kilmartin Glen is a small valley with a huge depth of history, including some of the most remarkable neolithic and bronze age archaeological sites anywhere in Scotland. To begin to understand it all, the best place to start is Kilmartin Museum in the small village of the same name. The once cramped exhibition area has been significantly expanded since our visit, so we’re eager to return; the star rating and photos on this page reflect the old, smaller visitor experience. While visiting Kilmartin, don’t miss the half day walk around the local cairns and stone circles which starts right here in the village. The Kilmartin Stones are also found outside Kilmartin Church next door.
