The National Trust for Scotland claim the garden has a warm microclimate, enhancing the riot of colour displayed by the borders and lawns through the summer months; also don’t miss the lower meadow and pond area. The 17th century adjoining house isn’t open to the public, but provides a picturesque backdrop all the same.
