πŸ“Œ Taynuilt, Argyll & Bute
β˜…β˜…β˜…

The sliver of floodplain between the River Awe, Loch Etive and the west side of Ben Cruachan forms Inverawe Country Park – a small patch of verdant nature amidst a wider area of… well, verdant nature; we’re not quite sure why this particular spot has been given special designation. Inverawe Smokery forms the hub for the park, with a cafe and delicatessen selling a range of mouthwatering products. From here, follow the path which snakes down to the River Awe, where there’s an elegant suspension bridge linking to Taynuilt. Alternatively, walk further along the road until it becomes a track, eventually reaching a loop of track with superb views up Loch Etive to Ben Starav. There are apparently even better views gained by taking an uphill track forking right from a power station, though we didn’t have time for this on our visit.
