Dunblane is an small, attractive town bisected by the Allan Water a few miles north of Stirling. The settlement grew up around Dunblane Cathedral, which still dominates the upper end of the High Street. Today it’s well known for its links to tennis star Andy Murray, who grew up here. The excellent town museum is a good place to start; there are also some attractive riverside walks nearby.
