β˜…β˜…

A large concrete viaduct carries road traffic over the Dunbeath Water, ensuring that many tourists pass by Dunbeath village without a second thought. Uphill to the south of the bridge, this small but smart heritage centre shows us that there’s lots of local history to learn about, from ancient brochs to recent road realignments. Much of the museum’s content is focused around Dunbeath Strath, whose water course is painted beautifully onto the wooden floor of the main room.
