πŸ“Œ Strath More, Highland
β˜…β˜…

Dun Dornaigil oozes atmosphere from each one of its lichen-crusted stones: an imposing sight even amongst the big hills, rivers and plains of Strath More. A colossal triangular entrance lintel is perhaps the most impressive part of this 2,300+ year-old broch, which still stands seven metres high on its northeastern side. The setting is also a magnificent one, on a bank above the Strathmore River backed by majestic Ben Hope. The little-visited Alltnacaillich waterfall is also less than a mile away.
