📌 Dalmeny, City of Edinburgh
★★

The quiet village of Dalmeny sits midway between the Forth Bridges and the western outskirts of Edinburgh. Here you’ll find the self-proclaimed finest Norman church in Scotland, dating from the 12th century and bursting with beautiful Romanesque carvings inside and out. We were lucky to receive a guided tour around the building’s highlights by a friendly volunteer on our visit.
