📌 Clackmannan, Clackmannanshire
★★

This is another one of Clackmannanshire’s many tower houses which normally has no interior access. However, the setting atop King’s Seat Hill is a fine one – and matched by the grand exterior of the 13th century building, which was built by descendants of Robert the Bruce and visited by Robert Burns. The tower is an easy stroll from the nearest parking in Clackmannan village – itself well worth a look around.
