📌 Trotternish, Isle of Skye
★★

Love at first sight might be stretching the truth a little, but we were quite taken with this wee waterfall a few miles north of Portree. Situated next to the busy tourist road to the Old Man of Storr guarantees it – for better, for worse – an obvious but rather boggy path and plenty of visitors heading up the Isle. One look at the web of white rivulets after heavy rain and it’s easy to see how the noisy cascade was christened. Hop across to the opposite bank of the burn to get a shot of the Old Man with an unusual foreground.
