Two beaches grace Red Point: a low headland jutting out on the north side of Loch Torridon. Both bays are very pretty, but there are some key differences. The north beach faces northwest and is next to a car park, so might be a good pick if you’re visiting with a heavy bag or young children. Meanwhile, the south beach faces south and requires a half-mile walk, resulting in fewer visitors, and features a couple of tiny tidal islets. Depending on the wind direction, one may be more sheltered than the other. Can’t decide? Check out our circular walk taking in both.
