The museum covers the areas between Soval and Aline, including Shieldinish, Seaforth Head and Eishken, and is very well laid out with modern multimedia displays across two large rooms. Themes include crofting, fishing, weaving, education and religion, as well as the local impact of the two World Wars – including the sinking of HMY Iolaire on the nearby Beasts of Holm reef on New Year’s Day 1919.
