📌 Armadale, Highland
★★★
Soft sand under your toes, fresh sea air and few other people around – Armadale Bay is another of the excellent beaches strung along Scotland’s north coast, and is delightfully spacious at low tide. Getting from the roadside to the shoreline isn’t immediately obvious, but there are two possible access points – details below.

💬 It’s a 10-min walk (each way) to the beach from the nearest roads, with two path options (⬤ Easy). From the Armadale Burn access point, follow the track downstream next to the burn’s west bank. For access from Armadale, a signposted path leaves the minor road, descending through fields to the Allt Beag. Follow the river bank downstream to the beach – this section can be muddy.
