๐Ÿ“Œ Bragar, Isle of Lewis
โ˜…

This imposing sculpture forms part of the gateway between a house and its garden next to the main road through Bragar, Isle of Lewis. The arch was erected by a Murdo Morrison, a former village postmaster, and uses the lower jawbones of a harpooned blue whale which beached nearby in 1920 – as well as incorporating the harpoon itself, which failed to explode until it was in the shed belonging to the crofter who salvaged it!
