📌 Callander, Stirling
★★★
This enjoyable circuit traces a horseshoe around the head of Gleann a’ Chroin north of Callander, with Stùc a’ Chroin (a Munro) and Beinn Each (a Corbett) the two high points of mostly broad ridges. The two summits are popular objectives in their own right, but by different routes; this southeastern approach sees fewer visitors despite being at the heart of a busy walking region. The ascent benefits from a decent path with excellent views across to Ben Vorlich, while the continuation to Beinn Each traverses some rougher, rockier ground. Soft grass makes a comeback for the return leg, though paths tend to fade as height is lost.
