π Eye Peninsula, Isle of Lewis
β
β
This waymarked circuit in the middle of the un-touristy Eye Peninsula crosses an area of moorland to the southeast of Garrabost. The landscape seems barren and featureless, but there turn out to be two archaeological highlights: a chambered cairn on Cnoc nan Dursainean with views of the coast, and a triangular standing stone near a meandering burn.
