📌 Rubha Bàn, Isle of Eriskay
★★★
Eriskay (Eric’s Isle) is surely one of the jewels of the Outer Hebrides: a beautiful island linked to the southern tip of South Uist by a road causeway, and to Barra by car ferry. Three miles is all that’s needed to get a feel for the island’s beaches, crofting townships and moorland; wooden posts help keep you on track on the inland part of this varied circuit. For a small place, Eriskay has made quite a name for itself, and is known for its links to Bonnie Prince Charlie, Eriskay ponies and the novel / film, Whisky Galore!
